IN 15 DAYS Rohm Emanuel the point man for the 1994 Clinton Assault Weapon Ban will be back in the White House. And this time he will have more power than he had during the Clinton years! He will be the Chief of Staff for the Obama administration.

So it won't be long before a new Assault Weapons Ban becomes the law of the land. And you can bet the new AWB will be stronger than his 1994 version.

Change we need Change. That's all we heard for 19 long months. Well be careful of what you wish for because here comes change........

Change Obama style.........................smooth.

Its November 5, 2008 and United States of America is again in the hands of the the "Liberal Democrat's".

Maybe you didn't notice that during this election cycle very little was said about "GUN CONTROL". That's because the Democrat's remember that Al Gore lost his bid to be president with gun control as a part of his presidential package, he even lost his own State of Tennessee due to his stance on guns.

They believe that they can ram more "Gun Control" through when they're in charge.

Repackaged and most likely renamed, gun owners of America bend over and grab you ankles.......welcome to another edition of "The Assault On Your Second Amendment Rights".

Gun control 2009.......... Obama style, smooth man, smooth.

And for those of you who didn't experience the Clinton administration's Assault Weapons Ban here are a few of the "low lights"

Under the Clinton AWB many firearms were banned. The sale and manufacture of hi-cap magazines was also banned. Importation of some firearms and hi-cap was also banned. Ownership of certain firearms and hi-cap magazines became illegal and in some states like Illinois, weapons like the AR, SKS, AK, 10/22 just to mention a few, were just plain outlawed, because they could be fitted with hi-cap magazines and they looked like military assault weapons.

Hi-Cap magazines, handguns and military looking small arms, like the AK and the AR-15 will again come under attack. As a result, prices for parts and accessories for these weapons will likely rise dramatically and quickly.

Open Letter to Nation's Sportsmen Regarding Obama's History in the Illinois
Senate

CHICAGO, Oct 15, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The following is
the text of an open letter to the nation's hunters and sportsmen issued
by Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pearson:

Fellow Sportsman,

Hello, my name is Rich Pearson and I have been active in the firearm rights
movement for over 40 years. For the past 15 years, I have served in the
Illinois state capitol as the chief lobbyist for the Illinois State Rifle
Association.

I lobbied Barack Obama extensively while he was an Illinois State Senator. As
a result of that experience, I know Obama's attitudes toward guns and gun
owners better than anyone. The truth be told, in all my years in the Capitol I
have never met a legislator who harbors more contempt for the law-abiding
firearm owner than does Barack Obama.

Although Obama claims to be an advocate for the 2nd Amendment, his voting
record in the Illinois Senate paints a very different picture. While a state
senator, Obama voted for a bill that would ban nearly every hunting rifle, shotgun
and target rifle owned by Illinois citizens.
That same bill would authorize the state police to raid homes of gun owners
to forcibly confiscate banned guns. Obama supported a bill that would shut down
law-abiding firearm manufacturers including Springfield Armory, Armalite,
Rock River Arms and Les Baer. Obama also voted for a bill that would prohibit
law-abiding citizens from purchasing more than one gun per month.

Without a doubt, Barack Obama has proven himself to be an enemy of the law
abiding firearm owner. At the same time, Obama has proven himself to be a friend
to the hardened criminal. While a state senator, Obama voted 4 times against
legislation that would allow a homeowner to use a firearm in defense of home
and family.
Does Barack Obama still sound to you like a "friend" of the law-abiding gun
owner?

And speaking of friends, you can always tell a person by the company they
keep. Obama counts among his friends the Rev. Michael Pfleger - a renegade
Chicago priest who has openly called for the murder of gun shop owners and pro-gun
legislators.

Then there is his buddy Richard Daley, the mayor of Chicago who has declared
that if it were up to him, nobody would be allowed to own a gun. And let's not
forget Obama's pal George Soros - the guy who has pumped millions of dollars
into the UN's international effort to disarm law-abiding citizens.

Obama has shown that he is more than willing to use other people's money to
fund his campaign to take your guns away from you. While a board member of the
leftist Joyce Foundation, Barack Obama wrote checks for tens of millions of
dollars to extremist gun control organizations such as the Illinois Council
Against Handgun Violence and the Violence Policy Center.

Does Barack Obama still sound to you like a "friend" of the law-abiding gun
owner?

By now, I'm sure that many of you have received mailings from an organization
called "American Hunters and Shooters Association(AHSA)" talking about what a
swell fellow Obama is and how he honors the 2nd Amendment and how you will
never have to worry about Obama coming to take your guns. Let me make it
perfectly clear - everything the AHSA says about Obama is pure hogwash.

The AHSA is headed by a group of left-wing elitists who subscribe to the
British view of hunting and shooting. That is, a state of affairs where hunting
and shooting are reserved for the wealthy upper-crust who can afford guided
hunts on exclusive private reserves. The AHSA is not your friend, never will be.

In closing, I'd like to remind you that I'm a guy who has actually gone nose
to nose with Obama on gun rights issues. The Obama I know cannot even begin to
identify with this nation's outdoor traditions. The Obama I know sees you,
the law abiding gun owner, as nothing but a low-class lummox who is easily
swayed by the flash of a smile and a ration of rosy rhetoric. The Obama I know is a
stony-faced liar who has honed his skill at getting what he wants - so long
as people are willing to give it to him.
That's the Barack Obama I know.

If the red shirt thing is new to you, read below.

Last week while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine Sergeant traveling with a folded American Flag, but did not put two and two together.

After we boarded our flight, I turned to the Sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (across from me) and inquired if he was heading home.

'No, he responded.'
'Heading out I asked?' 'No. I'm escorting a Marine home.'
'Going to pick him up?' 'No. He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq , I'm taking him home to his family.'

The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the Marine, he had delivered the news of his passing to his family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days.

I extended my hand and said, 'Thank you. Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do.'

When we landing in Chicago, the Pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom: 'Ladies! and Gentlemen, I would like all aboard to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on this flight. He is escorting a fallen Comrade home to his family. I ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door and allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow Marine. We will then turn off the seat belt sign.'

Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the Sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American.

So here's a public 'Thank You' to our Military Men and Women for what you do, so we can live the way we do.

Red Friday's

Hopefully, you will soon see a great many people wearing RED every Friday.

The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'Silent Majority.' We will no longer be silent, and we will be voicing our love for Country and Home. We are not boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me, and our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of American's support our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday and will continue every Friday until the troops come home. Send that deafening message that, we American's who support our Men and Women will wear something RED.

By word of mouth, the press and TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of RED much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this Country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our Troops know the once 'Silent Majority' is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the Media lets on.
